FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Financial Controller Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans for both wholesale and retail assets
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
- Manage the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as other financial reports and analysis as required
Develop and manage the company's budgeting and forecasting processes
Develop and manage financial, inventory and security controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
Communicate financial metrics to senior management
Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel
Keep up-to-date on current HR trends
Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications and skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
[MUST HAVE] Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA) accredited with the Canadian Professional Accountants Association
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with some experience in human resources
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated and self-directed
Ability to work closely with a senior management team
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve company objectives.

Salary commensurate with experience.

$73,000 - $100,000
